Pharmacodynamics
The therapeutic effect of Laminaria Evalar is primarily due to the iodine . Since iodine is an essential component of thyroxine, the therapeutic effect is manifested in diseases of the thyroid gland caused by iodine deficiency.
Thyroxine in physiological concentrations enhances protein assimilation, activates some enzymes, and improves the absorption of phosphorus , iron and calcium . Kelp iodine regulates ovarian function, the menstrual cycle, reduces blood viscosity and increases vascular tone, and relieves symptoms of pre- and climatic periods.
The hypotensive effect of the drug is due to the property of laminin to have a hypotensive effect.
The anti-atherosclerotic effect alginic acid contained in kelp . cholesterol , triglycerides , lipoprotein cholesterol in the blood serum and promotes the active removal of cholesterol from the body.
The laxative effect of the drug is caused by irritation of receptors in the intestinal mucosa, caused by the ability of polysaccharides to swell in the intestines. This leads to an increase in the volume of feces and, accordingly, increased intestinal motility, which contributes to its emptying.
