Forms of release of the drug and structural analogues
Macmiror is produced in several forms, namely tablets, vaginal suppositories and ointments. This medication belongs to the antimicrobial and antiseptic agents used in gynecology.
The main active component is nifuratel, which affects enzymes that are involved in the development of microorganisms. The influence is exerted by its metabolites. Through research, the high effectiveness of nifuratel against gram-positive and gram-negative flora was revealed.
Activity spectrum of nifuratel
When taken orally, nifuratel is rapidly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. Excretion from the body is carried out by the kidneys, and therefore produces a significant antibacterial effect in the urinary tract. It should be noted that from 30 to 50% of nifuratel is excreted in its original form. Important features include passage through the blood-brain and hematoplacental barriers. As the closest analogue in composition and action, Nifuratel is indicated for use in suppositories or tablets.

Reviews from doctors
Doctors speak positively about many drugs with similar effects to Macmiror. Here are the main expert opinions.
Due to the high demand, Macmiror is difficult to find in pharmacies. I prescribe Macmiror Complex to my patients. Its action is much more effective, the price is not much higher than the main drug.
Obukhovsky V.A., urologist
Among the cheap analogues, I think Fupacilin is effective. It is available in almost all forms; you can choose the optimal one for each patient. In this case, there is a risk of developing side symptoms if the treatment regimen is not followed.
Fedyunina T.V., therapist
I consider Vilprafen to be the safest analogue for children. It has many forms of release and shows effectiveness in the treatment of many diseases caused by bacterial microflora. In this case, it is very important to choose the correct dosage and take the drug according to a strict regimen.
