special instructions

Lutein-complex® for children is not a medicine. It is recommended to consult a doctor before use.

pharmachologic effect

Lutein-complex® Children is a multicomponent product containing lutein, zeaxanthin, lycopene, blueberry fruit extract, taurine, vitamins A, C, E and zinc. The progression of myopia in childhood and adolescence increases significantly as people grow older and the duration and intensity of visual stress increases. When complications occur, the body's own antioxidant system plays a major protective role. Low antioxidant status is associated with microelement imbalance, deficiency of vitamins C, A, E, and, most importantly, carotenoids: lutein, zeaxanthin, lycopene. In this regard, Russia’s leading pediatric ophthalmologists currently recommend daily intake of lutein, zeaxanthin and lycopene as part of complex vision medications. To maintain good vision, a person must receive at least 5 mg of lutein from food every day - approximately the same amount is found in 250 g of spinach or 500 g of sweet pepper. However, a typical diet contains less than 20% of the norm. It is important that the drug to support and preserve vision functions contains, in addition to lutein, the entire complex of necessary vitamins and minerals. All components included in the composition provide protection for the visual apparatus, have an antioxidant effect and reduce the risk of eye diseases in children. Lutein, zeaxanthin, lycopene Lutein accumulates in the lens and central (macular) region of the retina. Lutein and zeaxanthin act as light filters and protect important eye structures from the most aggressive (blue) part of the daylight spectrum. Lycopene accumulates in the pigment epithelium, choroid and ciliary body of the eye. Possessing high antioxidant activity, lycopene protects the retina from the damaging effects of light and maintains the health of eye blood vessels. Blueberry extract Contains anthocyanins, which are involved in the restoration of the light-sensitive pigment rhodopsin and, thus, improve adaptation to different light levels, enhancing visual acuity at dusk. Taurine An amino acid essential for the retina of the eyes. At night, taurine accumulates and is consumed by bright light or eye strain. Therefore, taurine is necessary for eye fatigue. Helps normalize metabolic processes in eye tissues. Vitamin A Improves color perception. Plays an important role in redox processes and the synthesis of substances vital for the eye. Vitamin E Accelerates the regeneration of damaged cells, participates in tissue respiration and other important metabolic processes. Prevents increased fragility and permeability of capillaries. Vitamin C Increases the effectiveness of antioxidants (lutein, zeaxanthin, anthocyanins), which accelerates the restoration of visual pigments in the retina. Zinc Contained in the retina, vascular and iris of the eye. Helps maintain vitamin A levels.

Indications for use

As a dietary supplement to food - a source of vitamins (A, E, C), zinc, taurine, lutein, lycopene, zeaxanthin and anthocyanins: to improve the functional state of the visual system during the development of the body, when working at a computer and increased stress on the eyes ; to reduce the risk of development and progression of myopia (myopia).

Directions for use and doses

Children aged 7 to 11 years - 1 tablet/day, with meals; children over 11 years old - 2 tablets/day, with meals. Duration of treatment: 1 month. If necessary, the course can be repeated.

Contraindications

individual intolerance to components.

Compound

carrier: dextrose; taurine; ascorbic acid; lutein (fillers: modified starch, corn starch, dextrose (glucose) syrup, sodium ascorbate, DL-tocopherol); blueberry fruit extract; carrier: polyvinylpyrrolidone; zinc citrate; tocopherol acetate (fillers: maltodextrin, modified starch, silicon dioxide); lycopene (fillers: modified starch, corn starch, dextrose (glucose) syrup, sodium ascorbate, DL-tocopherol); zeaxanthin (fillers: modified starch, corn starch, sucrose, sodium ascorbate, DL-tocopherol); anti-caking agents: amorphous silicon dioxide; magnesium stearate; carrier: croscarmellose sodium; retinol acetate (excipients: pork gelatin, corn starch, sucrose, butylated hydroxytoluene).

Storage conditions

The product should be stored in a dry place, protected from direct sunlight and out of reach of children at a temperature not exceeding 25°C.

Component Properties

Lutein is not synthesized in the human body and enters the body only with food (fruits and vegetables), while zeaxanthin is formed in the retina from lutein. The content of lutein and zeaxanthin in the retina determines its structure and functions. Lutein accumulates in the lens and macular (central) region of the retina, where it is partially transformed into zeaxanthin. Lutein and zeaxanthin protect eye structures from the aggressive blue part of the daylight spectrum by reflecting and absorbing harmful light rays. They are powerful antioxidants, neutralize free radicals and prevent retinal damage and lens clouding.

Lycopene accumulates in the pigment epithelium, choroid and ciliary body of the eye. Possessing high antioxidant activity, lycopene protects the retina from changes due to oxidative stress and prevents oxidative glycosylation of proteins (regulation of fluid outflow, normalization of intraocular pressure).

Anthocyanins activate microcirculation and metabolism, participate in the restoration of the light-sensitive pigment rhodopsin, thus improving adaptation to different light levels, and enhance visual acuity at dusk.

Taurine is an amino acid involved in the transmission of photosignals, stimulates regeneration and metabolism in eye tissues. Helps normalize the function of cell membranes and activate energy metabolic processes.

Vitamin A improves color perception. Plays an important role in redox processes and the synthesis of substances necessary for the eye.

Vitamin E accelerates the regeneration of damaged cells, participates in tissue respiration and other important processes of tissue metabolism. Prevents increased fragility and permeability of capillaries.

Vitamin C regulates the restoration of visual pigments and normalizes capillary permeability.

Zinc is found in the choroid of the eye, retinal pigment epithelium, ciliary body, iris, and vitreous body. Zinc potentiates the effect of vitamin A on dark adaptation.

Pharmacological properties

Has an antioxidant effect. Component properties:

Lutein enters the body only from the outside, with food. In the retina, zeaxanthin is formed from lutein. These substances protect the eye structures from exposure to the blue spectrum of light, have a powerful antioxidant effect, and prevent clouding of the lens and damage to the retina.

Lycopene accumulates in the choroid, pigment epithelium, ciliary body, protects the retina from oxidative stress, and prevents protein glycosylation.

The anthocyanins contained in the preparation improve microcirculation, metabolic processes, take part in the restoration of rhodopsin (light-sensitive pigment), normalize adaptation to changes in light levels, and improve twilight vision.

Taurine is involved in the transmission of photosignals, activates metabolism, reparative processes, normalizes the state of cell membranes, and energy processes.

Vitamin A improves color perception and affects redox processes. Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant, improves the restoration of pigments, and affects capillary permeability. Vitamin E improves repair processes and affects tissue respiration.

Zinc is an important component of the pigment layer, the choroid, and is found in the vitreous body and iris. It has a potentiating effect on vitamin A in relation to dark adaptation.

Description

LUTEIN-COMPLEX Children's is a multicomponent product containing lutein, zeaxanthin, lycopene, blueberry fruit extract, taurine, vitamins A, C, E and zinc.
BIOLOGICALLY ACTIVE FOOD SUPPLEMENT

A child receives more than 90% of information about the world around him through the organs of vision, and this is especially important for the further development of the individual. Good vision contributes to the harmonious formation of intelligence, worldview and self-confidence. In this regard, eye diseases in children are not only a medical problem.

The need to assimilate large amounts of information contributes to a significant increase in the load on the visual organs, starting from childhood. About 20% of school graduates suffer from progressive, so-called “school” myopia. Ophthalmologists believe that one of the reasons for the increase in the number of children with this problem is the active use of computers. It is very important to provide children with a reliable means of protecting their vision functions under increased load and stress.

All components included in the LUTEIN-COMPLEX for Children provide protection for the visual system, have an antioxidant effect and reduce the risk of eye diseases in children.
