Septefril tab. 0.2 mg per circuit. unidentified pack No. 10 (decamethoxin)

Pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics

Septefril tablets are used in the treatment of throat diseases . As is known, decamethoxin is part of the group of ammonium compounds with a strong antiseptic effect. By acting on microbial cells on the surface of the mucous membranes, this substance changes their permeability.

Decamethoxin is characterized by a wide spectrum of antimicrobial action, including inhibition of corynobacteria diphtheria , pyogenic cocci, for example: protozoa , yeast-like fungi, dermatomycetes and viruses . Treatment with Septefril slows down the formation of decamethoxin-resistant forms of microorganisms.

When using the drug in complex therapy, an increase in the effect of other antimicrobial agents was noted. Septefril has a bactericidal, fungicidal, and sporicidal effect on microbial cells. The maximum effectiveness of the tablets occurs 7-10 minutes after taking and lasts for at least an hour.

Septefril-Darnitsa

This form of the drug belongs to bi-quaternary ammonium compounds. Its chemical structure and antimicrobial action is close to that of aethonium . The effectiveness of Septefril-Darnitsa is also manifested against: diphtheria bacillus, pyogenic cocci, protozoan yeast-like fungi, dermagomycetes and viruses, acting bactericidal, sporicidal and fupgicidal.

The effect of this drug on 200 strains of diphtheria bacilli is especially noted, showing maximum neutralizing effect. The tablets increase the sensitivity of bacteria to various antibiotics without inhibiting the body’s immunological reactivity.

Reviews of Septefril

It should be noted that reviews of Septefril are mainly found on Ukrainian forums. Moreover, these tablets are often used for children and pregnancy . However, the effectiveness of this drug is not evident in all cases.

When this medicine is used for severe redness and sore throat, lozenges alone are clearly not enough. In such cases, patients doubt whether the treatment has been prescribed to them correctly and what the pills help best with.

As you know, if a sore throat is not treated in a timely manner, complications may quickly develop, for example, sore throat . Therefore, when buying tablets for children, you need to remember the whole complex of treatment: rinsing the nose, rinsing and irrigating the throat. More complex cases require taking medications, but only as prescribed by a doctor.
