pharmachologic effect

A drug for topical use for diseases of the anorectal area.

The cell wall antigens and E. coli metabolites contained in Posterisan, upon contact with the mucous membrane of the rectum and the skin of the anogenital area, increase the local resistance of tissues to the effects of pathogenic microflora.

The drug stimulates the T-system of immunity, at the site of exposure increases the phagocytic activity of leukocytes and cells of the reticuloendothelial system, nonspecific immune factors, reduces vascular exudation during inflammation, normalizes the permeability and tone of blood vessels, stimulates the regeneration of damaged tissues.

Pharmacological properties of Posterisan

Candles significantly ease the suffering of patients

The active ingredients included in Posterisan suppositories are metabolic products of inactivated intestinal bacteria. They help stimulate specific and humoral protective immune factors, phagocytosis, and in addition trigger the entire immune system of the body at the local level.

After even short-term use of the drug, an increase in antibodies is observed locally; among other things, tissue resistance to the effects of painful flora increases, even if this pathogenic flora is resistant to the effects of antibiotics.

Posterizan suppositories stimulate the healing of damage to the mucous membrane and skin in people with hemorrhoids, anal and rectal fissures, prevent the development of relapses (re-infection), and have high anti-inflammatory activity.

Thanks to the complex: immunostimulating, anti-inflammatory and reparative effects, Posterizan has a pronounced analgesic effect. This significantly alleviates suffering and improves the patient’s quality of life. This effect is the main advantage that distinguishes suppositories from medications used internally.

Dosage regimen

The ointment should be applied in a thin layer to the affected area of the skin and mucous membrane in the morning and evening, as well as after each act of bowel movement. To insert the ointment deeper into the anus, you can use the screw-on applicator included with the kit.

Suppositories are used 1 in the morning and in the evening, as well as after each act of defecation.

The combined use of ointments and suppositories is possible.

The duration of treatment is 2-3 weeks.

Indications for use

Candles (suppositories) Posterizan are used both as an independent drug and in the complex treatment of patients with hemorrhoids. It must be remembered that in patients with an associated fungal infection, local antifungal drugs should be used in parallel with Posterisan. Posterizan is also used for fissures, as well as eczema of the anal and rectal areas.

Candles Posterizan

What is the difference between Posterisan and Posterisan Forte?

These are two analogues that contain the same active ingredient - E coli bacteria. However, the amount of this component differs (per 1 g):

  • “Posterizan” – 300 million units;
  • “Posterizan Forte” – 500 million units.

The “Forte” variety also contains hydrocortisone in the amount of 2.5 mg per 1 g. The auxiliary components are:

  • petrolatum;
  • lanolin;
  • phenol.

In terms of indications, contraindications, and side effects, the drugs are no different. They also have similar instructions for use. It is worth keeping in mind that Forte is used in advanced cases, when hemorrhoids, itching, anal fissures and other symptoms have been observed for a long time and in an obvious form.

As for the usual form “Posterizan”, it is used at the initial stage. If it is difficult to decide on a course of therapy on your own, it is recommended to first consult a doctor. Any self-medication carries certain risks.

Instructions for use "Posterizan"

Suppositories are used rectally 2 times a day - in the morning immediately after sleep, and also in the late evening just before bedtime. Moreover, if there is a need, you first need to go to the toilet and only then light a candle, having previously completed a hygienic procedure.

The ointment is also applied 2 times a day to the rectal area. The principle of use is exactly the same - you first need to rinse the anal passage and wipe dry. If necessary, first go to the toilet and only then rub in the composition with gentle massage movements.

The course of treatment, regardless of the form of the drug, lasts 7 days in a row. Then a break is taken, after which, if necessary, the course can be repeated, but only in agreement with the doctor. Effective therapy often requires a change in drug.

If the described rules are followed, Posterizan ointment and suppositories are safe for health. No cases of overdose have been reported. But if an allergic reaction is observed, treatment is stopped and a specialist is consulted for additional consultation.

Candles “Posterizan”: description, composition

The drug "Posterizan" is available in the form of ointments and suppositories (rectal suppositories), which are used to treat hemorrhoids. The composition includes inactive microbial cells of the E coli strain - 330 million units per 1 g. Auxiliary components are lanolin, phenol, paraffin and petroleum jelly.

Candles have a complex effect:

  • counteraction to inflammatory processes;
  • antipruritic effect;
  • tissue restoration;
  • development of both types of immunity – specific and nonspecific.

The inactivated bacteria included in the suppositories affect the T cells of the immune system. E. coli interact with the cells of the rectum and the skin of the rectal area. They increase tissue resistance to pathogenic bacteria, making recovery faster and more effective.

Also, the use of the drug in the form of ointments and suppositories increases vascular tone and reduces their esudation (the release of blood from small vessels). In addition, the active components help restore vascular permeability, which is also important for healing.
