pharmachologic effect
Preparation of purified coal tar for external use in dermatology. Inhibits the proliferation of epidermal cells, has a vasoconstrictor, astringent and antifungal effect (in particular, it is active against Pityrosporum ovale). Removes the surface layer of dead epidermal cells from the skin and helps remove excess oil from the scalp.
Pharmacokinetics
The drug is intended for external use; there is no data on systemic absorption.
Indications
- seborrhea;
- seborrheic dermatitis of the scalp, accompanied by increased formation of fat;
- psoriasis of the scalp.
Dosage regimen
Before use, the shampoo must be shaken thoroughly.
Apply the required amount of shampoo to thoroughly wet hair and rub in until foam forms, then rinse and reapply. The foam must be left on the head for about 5 minutes, then the hair is thoroughly washed.
