pharmachologic effect
Artelak® Splash contains hyaluronic acid (sodium hyaluronate), which is a natural moisturizing agent with a high ability to bind to water. Tear fluid consists of three layers that provide the surface of the eye with nutrients, form a protective lubricating barrier between the eyelid and the cornea, and also ensure their normal functioning and clear vision. The natural tear film spreads across the surface of the eye with every blink, protecting the eyes from drying out and promoting the healing of superficial damage to the cornea. If the balance of the composition of the tear film is disturbed, a feeling of dryness, burning, a foreign body in the eye, irritation and redness of the eyes, a feeling of fatigue, and in some cases lacrimation may occur. Artelac® Splash solution moisturizes the eyes for a long time and helps stabilize the tear film to ensure a healthy ocular surface. Artelak® Splash does not contain preservatives.
Indications for use
1. For intensive and long-lasting hydration of the anterior surface of the eye (cornea and conjunctiva) with: 2. Dry eyes caused by lifestyle, stress on the eyes, exposure to environmental factors, such as prolonged work at the computer and, as a result, infrequent blinking, staying in an air-conditioned room, cigarette smoke, strong wind; 3. For severe dry eyes caused by systemic diseases, eye surgery or taking certain medications, such as contraceptives, antihistamines, beta-blockers, antispasmodics, diuretics. 4. To eliminate discomfort when wearing hard and soft contact lenses.
Directions for use and doses
It is recommended to instill Artelac® Splash into the conjunctival sac of each eye, 1 drop as needed. Thanks to the specially designed pumping mechanism of the bottle, the solution remains sterile without preservatives. The pictures show how Artelak® Splash should be used. 1. Each time before using the solution, you must remove the protective cap of the bottle. Do not touch the tip of the bottle with your fingers. 2. Place your thumb and index finger on the round dispenser plate near the tip of the bottle, and place your little finger on the bottom of the bottle. With your fingers located in the middle, you can support the bottle on the sides. 3. Before using the pump for the first time, you must press the dispenser plate about 7 times before the first drop appears. The bottle should be held as shown in the figure. 4. To instill the solution, tilt your head back and hold the bottle over your eye as comfortable as possible. Gently pull back the lower eyelid with the finger of your free hand, hold the bottle in a vertical position and lightly press the dispenser plate. After this, close your eyes and slowly move your eyes in all directions so that the drop is distributed over the surface of the eye. 5. After each use, it is necessary to close the bottle with a cap. 6. You can help yourself with the other hand for greater accuracy, if necessary. Do not allow the tip of the bottle to touch your eye or touch it with your fingers to prevent contamination of the solution.
Interaction with other drugs
In case of combined use with other ophthalmic drugs, it is recommended to maintain a pause of at least 15 minutes between instillation of the Artelak® Splash solution and the use of other eye drops. Eye ointments should always be used after instilling Artelak® Splash solution.
Storage conditions
The drug should be stored out of the reach of children at a temperature of 1°C to 25°C. Shelf life in unopened original packaging - 2 years; after opening the bottle - 3 months. Do not use after the expiration date stated on the package.

PROPERTIES
Artelac® Balance is a sterile solution designed to moisturize and lubricate the ocular surface, intended for instillation into the eye. Artelak® Balance contains 0.15% sodium hyaluronate, the effectiveness of which is optimized by the presence of polyethylene glycol, a film-forming polymer. Sodium hyaluronate is a substance that is normally present in the eye and forms a stable and long-lasting film on the surface of the eye.
Artelak® Balance solution contains vitamin B12.
Vitamin B12 protects ocular surface cells from damage caused by free radicals. The pink tint of the solution in the bottle is due to the presence of vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin).
The Artelak® Balance solution contains electrolytes (chlorides, sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium), which play an important role for biochemical processes in the cell.
Artelak® Balance is a solution that does not change the physiological state of the ocular surface.
The Artelak® Balance solution also includes Oxide, a new preservative system, thanks to which the sterility of the solution is maintained for 2 months from the moment the bottle is opened. The oxide upon contact with the surface of the eye turns into oxygen, water and sodium chloride. These substances are naturally present in tears and do not irritate the mucous membrane of the eye.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to any of the components included in the solution (local allergic reactions that occur in rare cases). In such cases, you should stop using the solution.
DOSES AND METHOD OF APPLICATION
It is recommended to instill Artelac® Balance into the conjunctival sac of each eye, 1 drop 3 to 5 times a day or, if necessary, more often.
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR WEARING CONTACT LENSES
When wearing soft and hard contact lenses, you can instill Artelac Balance® into the conjunctival sac of the eye without removing the lenses.

Mode of application
1. Each time before using the solution, you must remove the protective cap of the bottle. Do not touch the tip of the bottle with your fingers.
2. It is necessary to slightly tilt your head back and slightly pull the lower eyelid down with the finger of your free hand, holding the bottle vertically above the eye, the tip of the bottle should be facing down. Then you should gently press the bottle to squeeze out one drop. Do not touch the tip of the bottle to your eye or touch it with your fingers to prevent contamination of the solution.
3. After each use, close the bottle with a cap.
After this, close your eyes, move from side to side and blink several times so that the drops are evenly distributed over the surface of the eye.
Avoid contact of the tip of the dropper tube with your eyes or touching it with your fingers to prevent possible contamination from entering the solution.
