During the first 24 hours after administration - pale skin, nausea, vomiting; anorexia, abdominal pain; increased prothrombin time, impaired glucose metabolism, hypokalemia and metabolic acidosis (including lactic acidosis). Symptoms of liver dysfunction may appear 12-48 hours after an overdose: increased activity of “liver” transaminases, hepatonecrosis. In severe cases - liver failure with progressive encephalopathy, coma. Rarely, liver failure develops rapidly and can be complicated by renal failure (tubular necrosis).

Symptomatic treatment: in the first 6 hours after an overdose, gastric lavage and the use of enterosorbents (activated carbon, etc.) are recommended. Administration of SH-group donors and precursors for the synthesis of glutathione - methionine is most effective in the first 8-9 hours after an overdose, acetylcysteine - after 12 hours. The need for additional therapeutic measures (further administration of methionine and acetylcysteine) is determined by the concentration of paracetamol in the blood, as well as time , passed after its reception.

Rinicold HotMix is a combined four-component drug for symptomatic (affecting the symptoms, not the cause of the disease) treatment of the common cold. Paracetamol has an antipyretic and analgesic effect: it eliminates pain characteristic of a cold (sore throat, cephalgia, arthralgia and myalgia), reduces febrile and subfebrile temperature. Phenylephrine reduces the lumen of blood vessels, thereby eliminating swelling and reducing the intensity of blood flow to the mucous membranes of the upper respiratory tract and sinuses. Pheniramine exhibits an antiallergic effect: eliminates itching in the eyes, throat and nasal passages, promotes the resorption of edema, and eliminates increased blood flow to the mucous membranes. Caffeine is a psychostimulant that eliminates fatigue, drowsiness, and increases physical and mental endurance. Single dose – 1 sachet. Method of preparation: dissolving in hot water. You can add sugar or honey to add flavor. The peculiarity of the application is the need to drink a large volume of liquid. The optimal time to take is 1-2 hours after eating. In pediatric practice, the drug is used after the patient reaches 15 years of age. The drug is used with extreme caution in persons with severe atherosclerotic changes in the arteries of the heart, hypertension, hyperfunction of the thyroid gland, diabetes mellitus, bronchial asthma, COPD, insufficiency of liver and/or kidney function, prostate adenoma. If the patient is taking the antiemetic drug metoclopramide, the prokinetic drug domperidone, the hypocholesterolemic drug cholestyramine, warfarin and other anticoagulants, then if it is necessary to take Rinicold HotMix, a doctor's consultation is necessary. While taking the drug, you must avoid drinking alcohol, using sleeping pills and anxiolytics.
