List of cheap analogues of Derinat, instructions and comparison of their effectiveness

Among the wide range of drugs that can stimulate immune defense, Derinat is popular, which is available in several forms - spray, nasal drops, solution for local and external use, as well as ampoules for intramuscular injections.

The drug is produced by the Russian pharmaceutical company. Despite the fact that Derinat is a domestic medicine, its price exceeds 340 - 1900 rubles (depending on the form of release).

Due to the fact that the drug is quite expensive, many are looking for cheaper substitutes. Before considering analogues to replace Derinat, it is worth familiarizing yourself with the drug itself, its properties, indications, dosages and contraindications.

Derinat or Grippferon - which is better for adults and children?

Common over-the-counter immunomodulators include Grippferon, which is available in the form of nasal drops and nasal spray and is also used for therapeutic and preventive purposes for colds.

Both drugs are completely different in composition, but have a similar immunostimulating effect.

Grippferon, as well as Derinat, can be used for adults and children from birth. Both are well tolerated and almost never cause adverse reactions. Despite some similarities, the drugs also have differences.

Grippferon contains human recombinant interferon type alpha-2b, and Derinat contains sodium deoxyribonucleate. The first drug provides good protection when viral agents are introduced into the body. Its use activates immune cells that help fight pathogenic microorganisms.

Derinat, unlike Grippferon, has a wider spectrum of action, which helps to use it not only for colds, but also for many other diseases. The medicine is positioned not only as an immunomodulator, but also as a stimulator of regenerative processes and hematopoiesis.

It is used in various fields of medicine - ophthalmology, gynecology, surgery, gastroenterology. Grippferon does not have such properties, so we can conclude that Derinat is a stronger, more complex drug.

Despite the differences between the two drugs, they both nonspecifically activate the humoral and cellular components of the immune system, which helps to quickly cope with the disease and minimize possible complications.

A significant difference between the two drugs is that Derinat fights not only viruses, but also bacteria and fungi, while Grippferon is effective only against viral agents.

However, Grippferon's consumption is less - it can be used for no longer than seven days, then you should take a break. Derinat is intended for longer-term use - from 2 weeks to several months.

Therefore, if you choose Grippferon or Derinat for a child, it is better to choose the second drug.

For adults it is similar: Derinat interacts well with other medications and can increase their effectiveness. For example, when taken together with antibiotics, it is possible to shorten the duration of treatment, and in some cases, reduce the dose.

For adults, doctors prefer to prescribe Derinat, since it is a stronger drug with a complex effect on the patient’s body, who may have a history of other chronic pathologies.

Pharmacodynamics

The drug activates cellular and humoral immunity. Optimizes specific responses against fungal, viral and bacterial infections. The drug stimulates reparative and regenerative processes, normalizes the condition of tissues and organs in dystrophies of vascular origin. Derinat® promotes the healing of trophic ulcers of various etiologies, as well as the rapid healing of deep burns, significantly accelerating the dynamics of epithelization. When ulcerative formations on the mucous membrane are restored under the influence of the drug, scarless restoration occurs. Derinat® does not have teratogenic or carcinogenic effects.

List of analogues by therapeutic effect

The list of drugs that can be used as substitutes for Derinat in case of viral etiology of the disease is as follows:

  • Kagocel (tablets) – from 260 rubles;
  • Arbidol (tablets) – from 230 rubles;
  • Ingavirin 90 mg (capsules) – 510 rubles;
  • Grippferon nasal drops 10,000 IU/ml, 10 ml – 270 rubles;
  • Nazoferon spray – from 280 rubles;
  • IRS-19 nasal spray 20 ml – 500 rub.;
  • Poludan nasal drops 100 units, bottle 1 pc. – 630 rubles.

Some analogues of Derinat are available in other forms and with a different composition, but have a similar immunomodulating effect.

To achieve maximum results, all of them must be taken at the initial symptoms of the disease (preferably in the first or second day). On the 4-5th day, a positive result will be only as part of complex treatment with systemic and other symptomatic agents.

pharmachologic effect

Derinat is not an antibiotic, but a drug with a pronounced immunomodulatory effect, which is used in various fields of medicine for the treatment and prevention of a wide variety of diseases.

Thanks to the active component - sodium deoxyribonucleate, which is obtained from the milt of sturgeon fish, the medicine has a pronounced drainage-detoxification, anti-inflammatory property. Its mechanism of action is aimed at stimulating the functioning of the immune system, as well as restoring the mucous membranes and skin.

The immunomodulatory effect of the drug allows you to increase the production of immunoglobulins, thereby fighting viruses, bacteria and fungi.

When Derinat is applied externally in the form of a solution, it is possible to accelerate the healing of wounds in the presence of trophic ulcers, burns, cuts, and frostbite. In addition, the drug has the ability to restore damaged tissue of the oral mucosa during sore throat, tonsillitis, and stomatitis without scarring.

Derinat in the form of spray and drops is more often used in the treatment of ENT diseases, also for acute respiratory viral infections and influenza.

With prolonged use of the drug, deoxyribonucleate accumulates in the lymph nodes and bone marrow tissues. This allows for a constant concentration of the active substance in the body.

The maximum concentration of the component in the blood plasma is observed 5 hours after use. The medicine is excreted by the kidneys and intestines (with feces).

Directions for use and doses

Externally, locally.

The drug is prescribed to children from the first day of life and to adults.

To prevent ARVI, instill 2 drops into each nasal passage 2–4 times a day for 1–2 weeks.

For acute respiratory infections, acute respiratory viral infections, the drug is instilled into the nose, 2-3 drops into each nasal passage every 1-1.5 hours, during the first day; further - 2-3 drops in each nasal passage 3-4 times a day, course duration - 1 month.

For inflammatory diseases of the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses, the drug is instilled 3-5 drops into each nasal passage 4-6 times a day. Course duration is 7–15 days.

For diseases of the oral mucosa, rinse with the drug 4-6 times a day (1 vial - 1-2 rinses). The duration of treatment is 5–10 days.

For chronic inflammatory diseases, fungal, bacterial and other infections in gynecology - intravaginal administration with irrigation of the cervix or intravaginal administration of tampons with the drug, 5 ml per procedure, 1-2 times a day for 10-14 days.

For hemorrhoids, the drug is prescribed as microenemas of 15–40 ml into the rectum. The duration of treatment is 4–10 days.

For severe inflammatory and dystrophic processes in ophthalmology, Derinat® is instilled into the eyes 2-3 times a day, 1-2 drops, for 14-45 days.

For obliterating diseases of the lower extremities, the drug is instilled 1-2 drops into each nasal passage 6 times a day, the course duration is up to 6 months.

For post-radiation necrosis of the skin and mucous membranes, long-term non-healing wounds, burns, frostbite, trophic ulcers of various etiologies, gangrene, application bandages (gauze in two layers) are applied to the affected areas with the drug applied to it 3-4 times during the day (course of treatment - 1–3 months).

Structural analogues of Derinat

  • Deoxynate (0.25% solution in glass ampoules of 5 ml) from 1400 rub. for 50 ml. Used for intramuscular injections, rinsing the mouth, and external application for damaged skin. In general, this is the same Derinat, only in a different form of release (less convenient). To instill it into the nose, you will need to use a pipette, and to use it as a spray, you will need an empty bottle with a spray bottle, for example, one containing vasoconstrictor drops. If you compare prices, Deoxynate costs 280 rubles. for 10 ml. This is half the price of Derinat for injection. If you use the same solution for instillation into the nose, inhalation and rinsing, the benefit is almost imperceptible;
  • Sodium Deoxyribonucleate (in powder form for self-preparation of solution) 250, 400 and 1000 grams.

The last option is relevant for medical institutions where large amounts of the drug are used.

For an ordinary patient, this is impractical and inconvenient, due to the need to maintain proportions and the inability to use all the medicine (the expiration date will expire before it runs out).

Antiviral agents

Prescription at the beginning of the rainy and cold season in order to prevent colds and viral diseases is advisable to begin before the onset of mass diseases in preschool institutions and schools. It is necessary to prepare children and adults to face the virus. The intracellular location of the pathogen makes treatment difficult, but prevention is very effective and can be started at the moment the very first symptoms appear.

Taking medications must be continued throughout the epidemic outbreak of the disease. Antiviral agents are available in the form of drops, capsules, tablets, suppositories, and solutions.

These will be analogues to the drug “Derinat” (ampoules). Cheaper to buy:

Grippferon solution;

Arbidol and Tamiflu capsules;

tablets "Remantadine", "Kagocel" and "Cycloferon";

candles "Kipferon", "Viferon".

Derinat or Interferon

Interferon, like Derinat, helps the body resist viruses, but doctors are confident that it should be used with extreme caution.

The reason for this is that interferon is part of the human immune system, and its direct infusion inhibits the production of its own interferon (the body, alas, is lazy).

Doctors believe that the use of Interferon should be resorted to only when emergency prevention is necessary.

It is advisable to take the drug when the disease has not yet occurred, and the person himself has been in contact with the patient. Interferon is recommended for children over 5 years of age.

Derinat has a broader spectrum of action (not only against viruses, but also against bacteria). It is often prescribed to children in whom viral infections provoke bacterial complications: sinusitis, nasopharyngitis, laryngitis. Its use reduces the risk of their development.

The advantage of Derinat is the absence of contraindications, as well as the possibility of use from birth. Interferon is an analogue cheaper than Derinat in the form of drops; it is not recommended to use it without consulting a doctor.

Rinofluimucil or Derinat

There is a significant difference between the medications. Rinoflumicil is a drug from the group of vasoconstrictors with a local mucolytic effect, and Derinat is an immunomodulator.

The first is used to treat ENT diseases - rhinitis, sinusitis, sinusitis. Its use can eliminate nasal congestion, thin mucus, and restore breathing. The product can be used only when the disease has occurred.

For the purpose of prevention, Rinoflumicil and its analogues are not prescribed, and treatment can last no more than 5 to 7 days. The drug is indicated for children from 3 years of age.

Derinat is a completely different medicine. Taking it will reduce the risk of developing ENT diseases and increase the body's resistance to infections that are treated with Rinoflumicil. The only similarity between the two medications is that they are both available in the form of nasal sprays.

Are there any disadvantages to immunostimulants in the form of drops?

Like other medicines, drops for stimulating local immunity have their disadvantages, which are manifested in the following:

  • immunity correctors, in any form, are undesirable for use in certain pathologies, namely: arthritis, impaired glucose tolerance, toxic goiter, as well as in autoimmune processes;
  • The drops do not have an immediate effect; they need to “work” for several days, and only then will the result be noticeable. If you have severe flu or viral symptoms, you will have to fork out more money and purchase additional drugs for treatment;
  • in most cases, drops to enhance immunity give visible results only in complex treatment. Often, monotherapy with immunomodulators is completely ineffective.

Comparison of the effectiveness of derinat and its analogues

Replacing a fixed asset requires a competent selection of analogues. The main task is to obtain a similar therapeutic effect with the minimum possible side reactions.
