Composition of the drug
One dose contains a thick extractive mixture of dried crushed plant particles in a dosage of 400 mg. The medicine Insti contains the following components:
- Adhatoda vascularis leaves – 750 mg
- White willow bark – 750 mg
- Roots with rhizomes of licorice glabra – 550 mg
- Leaves and flowers of violet fragrant – 100 mg
- Chinese tea leaves – 125 mg
- Common fennel fruit – 75 mg
- Roots with rhizomes of valerian officinalis – 100 mg
- Eucalyptus globulus leaves – 35 mg.
In addition, the composition can be found: menthol, cane sugar and corn starch.
The granules may differ in flavoring additives, and because of this, the composition may additionally contain: anise or cardamom oil, flavoring - coffee, chocolate or lemon.

Each sachet contains extracts from: Active substances: a mixture of dried thick aqueous extracts: white bark willow (3.75:1) – 174.0 mg; licorice bare roots (3.06:1) – 156.0 mg; Vascular leaf adhatodes (4.05:1) – 64.0 mg; Chinese leaf tea (3.13:1) – 35.0 mg; fragrant violet leaves (4:1) – 22.0 mg; valerian rhizomes with roots (4:1) – 21.5 mg; fennel fruit (3.41:1) – 19.0 mg; eucalyptus globulus leaves (3.5:1) – 8.5 mg. Excipients: corn starch, menthol, sucrose.

Pharmacological properties
Combined drug. It has an expectorant, mucolytic, anti-inflammatory, antipyretic and diuretic effect.

Indications for use
As part of the complex treatment of acute respiratory diseases (accompanied by symptoms such as nasal congestion, headache, increased body temperature (up to 38°C), pain when swallowing, cough).
Directions for use and dosage
The drug is used only for adults. One sachet two to three times a day. Dissolve the contents of one sachet in a cup of hot (not boiling) water or tea and drink slowly. Use in patients with liver and kidney failure. Not prescribed to patients with severely impaired liver and kidney function. Elderly patients. Use with caution in elderly patients.
Side effect
Allergic reactions to the components of the drug are possible (such as rash, itching, urticaria, bronchospasm), gastrointestinal symptoms (nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, heartburn). If adverse reactions occur, including those not indicated in the instructions for use, you must stop taking the drug and consult a doctor.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, as well as salicylates and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (for example, angioedema, bronchospasm or urticaria in history), sucrase/isomaltase deficiency, congenital fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption, diabetes mellitus, bleeding disorders, deficiency glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase, hypokalemia, bronchial asthma, peptic ulcer of the stomach or duodenum in the acute stage, severe dysfunction of the liver and kidneys, children (up to 18 years), pregnancy and breastfeeding. Overdose
To date, cases of overdose of the drug Insti have been reported. granules were not reported. Symptoms of an overdose of licorice root are fluid retention in the body, hypokalemia, arterial hypertension, heart rhythm disturbances, and hypertensive encephalopathy. If symptoms of overdose occur, stop using the drug and consult a doctor. Treatment is symptomatic.
Precautionary measures
The drug contains sucrose, which must be taken into account by patients with diabetes mellitus and patients on a low-calorie diet. This should also be taken into account in patients with rare congenital fructose intolerance or glucose-galactose malabsorption or sucrase-isomaltase deficiency. Licorice preparations are not recommended for patients with arterial hypertension and other cardiovascular diseases, hypokalemia, liver and kidney diseases, as they have a higher risk of adverse effects. Patients taking INSTI should not take other products containing licorice root due to the risk of serious adverse reactions, such as fluid retention, hypokalemia, hypertension, and cardiac arrhythmias. The simultaneous use of INSTI with salicylates and other NSAIDs is not recommended without consulting a doctor. Interaction with other drugs

Medicines containing willow bark, when used simultaneously, increase the risk of side effects of salicylates and other NSAIDs and may enhance the effects of anticoagulants, such as coumarin derivatives. Use with caution in patients with an increased risk of bleeding. Due to the presence of valerian in the composition, the combined use of synthetic sedatives is not recommended. Concomitant use with antitussives and agents that reduce mucus formation is not recommended, as this makes it difficult to remove mucus from the respiratory tract.

Medicinal properties
